A little about myself…
A designer with a researcher's mind and a global heart
Hi, I’m Daniel. I’m currently a Senior UX Designer based in Austin, TX, with over 6 years of experience creating intuitive, user-centered solutions. I started in UX Research, which gave me a strong foundation in data-driven decision-making. Eventually, I transitioned into design because I wanted to bring those insights to life—turning research into real, impactful solutions.
My Design Values
🌍 Empathy over ego
Design starts with listening. I put users first and let their needs guide the process — even when it challenges my assumptions.
📊 Data-driven design
Good design is informed design. Research and analytics give me direction, helping me make confident, user-centered decisions.
🤝 Strong opinions, loosely held
I stand behind thoughtful ideas — but stay open to better ones. Design is a team sport, and I believe the best outcomes come from shared input and flexibility.
🔁 Always be iterating
Feedback is a gift. I don’t aim for perfect on the first try — I aim to learn, refine, and ship better with every round.
🧑💻 Keep things human
Even in complex systems, the goal is simple: make people’s lives easier. I strive to create experiences that feel thoughtful, intuitive, and empowering.
Core components outside of work
When I’m not designing, I love spending time outdoors—hiking, camping, running, or looking for a new recipe to chef up.
Fun fact: I’ve lived in 7 countries, and every move taught me something new—especially about people, culture, and how we interact with the world. That global perspective continues to shape the way I design today.
